| Joseph Snowman, Capt., is buried in the Silver Lake Cemetery in Bucksport, Maine. Calculations from his age at his date of death indicate he was born 11 March 1812. Bucksport Vital Records indicate he was born in Penobscot, although no record of his birth has been found in the Penobscot Vital Records. It seems likely that he is descended from the line of Snowman descendants of Christian Snowman that settled in Penobscot, but no proof of this can be found.
